Kuala Lumpur, Jan 11: Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN) emerged as the first runner up for the ‘Best Newcomer Contact Centre’ at the 13th Customer Relationship Management and Contact Centre Awards, hosted by the Customer Relationship Management and Contact Centre Association Malaysia (CCAM).
PruBSN’s Chief Executive Officer, Encik Azim Mithani said “We are truly honoured to receive this award. It is a testament to our efforts in providing the best experience to our customers and is testimony to the importance of adherence to our core values of TRUST (trustworthy, respect, understanding, smile and teamwork). I am grateful to my call centre team as none of this could have been accomplished without their dedication to provide the best care to our customers.”
PruBSN competed against 55 other customer service and contact centre operators in various industries including telecommunications, banking and insurance, information technology and other outsourcing companies. After the second round evaluation, PruBSN were amongst the 22 shortlisted candidates to qualify for the third round and went on to be the finalist for this category and secured second place behind Shell Services.
This particular award is conferred to the contact centre that best demonstrates its processes, resource management and implemented strategies to address the needs of customers and clients.

Over the last two years, we have grown our customer numbers by more than 40% and this further reflects our operational capabilities and the effectiveness of our key strategies.” added Encik Azim.
Since 2011, PruBSN has been the Number 1 Takaful Operator in the country. In the third quarter of 2012, PruBSN’s total Annual Contribution Equivalent was RM180.9 million which gave the Company a market share of 26.8%.
